Back in March, I went to a wedding photography workshop with the very talented (and lovely) Emma Case, along with her hubby Pete Smyth and their friends from Shutterbox Films, Lee & Dawn.
Along with some very talented photographers (and very lovely people too!), Emma chatted about her experiences in the wedding photography industry and gave us some helpful pointers and TONS of inspiration. I think I can safely say that every single one of us left with a better understanding of ourselves as photographers and with a massive list of things we wanted to achieve as a result.
It was great to be able to spend some time with so many people who do what you do and care about the same things. Out of the day, the most important thing I realised was that I do this for my couples, and my families. I love working with people. I love making those connections and seeing them through. I love being part of people’s lives.
It has really helped me focus more on what I want to do, how I want to shoot. You’ll be seeing a lot of small changes in my work – for the better (I hope!)
Here are some of my favourite shots of Adam and Lizzie – who kindly posed for us for the afternoon!
